In completely Khiva you find tea houses and restaurants in which typical, characteristic khoresmic courts are served to you. As a matter of course the national food of the Usbek, Plow, you will find on every menu.

In cooperation with the German Embassy Tashkent, the Institute for International

Cooperation of the German Adult Education Association (DVV), the German

Development Service (DED) and the Centre for Business and Tourism Development

Khiva, the “Khorezm Art Restaurant” was built here in 2008, as a vocational training

centre for all workers of Khiva´s gastronomy sphere. Thanks to the restaurant

14 new jobs were established. In the future the facilities of the restaurant will be used

for gastronomy trainings, seminars and workshops.

The “Khorezm Art Restaurant” team invites you to become acquainted with the

traditional and the modern khorezmian culture and to try its culinary treats.

In an old mosque the owners fitted out a congenial restaurant for you. On the hot days you can recover in the shadow of the old prayer house.

In every hotel you can order a meal for lunch or dinner, also if you are not a guest of the hotel. Ask at the receptions for further informations.

Also outside of the old town, in Dishan Kala, you expect hospitable and congenial tea houses. Most of them are near the ferris wheel, not far from the old town. Here you will come quickly with the Khiva citizens in contact, because the tea rooms are here with the inhabitants of the city very liked.
