From the trainstation Urgench Taxis leave to Khiva (7.000UZS/Taxi).
The trolleybus stop is near by the trainstation. During the day trolleybuses go every
30min to Khiva (300UZS/person). To Khiva it takes 60min. In Khiva the trolleybus stop is just
outside the North Gate.
Urgench – Tashkent (price 50.000 UZS/2nd class) Each Tusday, Wednesday and Saturday) Departure 2.50pm arrival 9.00am (next day)
Tashkent – Urgench (price 50.000 UZS/2nd class) Each Monday, Wednesday, Sunday Departure 6.15pm arrival 1.45pm (next day) Traintickets are sold at all uzbek Railwaystations and in the ticket office of Uzjeldorpass in Khiva.
By Taxi and Bus from Buchara
From the Karavan-Bazar in Buchara leave shared taxi (Marshrutkas), which depart when full.
To Khiva it takes 6hours and costs ca. 25.000 UZS (barge before leaving!) When you rent the
whole taxi, it costs ca. 100.000 UZS.
From the central busstation (avtovokzal) buses leave daily to Urgench (8 hours). The buses leave when full. Because the buses do not have AC, it is not recommended to take the buses.
By Marshrutka from Urgench to Khiva.
The stand of the shared taxis from Urgench to Khiva is at the Urgench Bazar next to the Dynamo Stadium. They depart when full. The price is 1000 UZS. In Khiva the shared taxis to Urgench leave from the North Gate.
